Bet With Combinations this Weekend

Looking at this weekends fixtures throws up some really difficult betting propositions. With this though comes the opportunity to figure out some decent priced combination bets.
If there was a Saturday for betting in combinations rather than just a straight accumulator this is it. Only 2 home teams are strong odds-on (Arsenal and Man City). Therefore the best way to bet this weekend could be trebles and 4-folds rather than big accumulator slips.

The first game I will look at is Bolton vs Villa at the Reebok. Bolton have lost just twice at home all season, to Liverpool and Chelsea, with Villa only winning twice away from Villa Park. Villa leak an average of 2.21 goals on their travels and although they gave an excellent performance at home last week, I expect their away day blues to continue in Lancashire and can see Bolton getting another strong home victory. They are best priced 13/10, which for a team with 7 home wins so far, represents good value.

The second game is West Ham vs Stoke. A superb win against Liverpool last time out has given Hammers fans real hope of survival and the visit of Stoke will be seen as another chance to grab a vital 3 points. Stoke sometimes struggle to find the net away from home, averaging just 0.86 goals on the road. West Ham will be on a high from last weekends win and I can see them getting another 3 points on their road to survival, at 5/4.

Newcastle host the consistently inconsistent Everton at St James' who travel to the North East on the back of a very poor performance against Reading in mid-week. Their inconsistency probably means they will give a top drawer performance this weekend and come away with all 3 points but I am going to settle for the draw at 12/5. Everton are becoming increasingly short of number with Cahill and Fellaini the latest absentees. If Saha performs they have a shout but he might pick up an injury getting off the coach! Newcastle have drawn their last 3 at home and there is a good chance this can be draw number 4.

The final game I will look at is in the Championship, QPR vs Leicester. After Leicester denied me accumulator wins last weekend with a terrible home draw to Coventry, this week I will back against them. The league leaders are available at 5/4 and I'm convinced that is a typing error. There is no doubt that is the value of the weekend.

I have given 4 selections which will pay around 39/1 as a 4-fold but as I said, these selections are pointed out as value bets so it may be worth finding a couple of extra selections yourselves and betting using a series of trebles or 4-fold. For example my 4 selections plus Nottingham Forest (11/13) and Portsmouth (11/13) give 6 selections and they can be bet in 15 4-folds. Therefore if 4 of the 6 selections win you can expect a return in excess of your original stake. This type of betting doesn't provide the same big rewards from small stakes as an accumulator, but it does ensure you won't be disappointed if 1 of 2 selections are wrong. Obviously the more selections you get right, the higher the return. Try using this way of betting with small stakes first and adapt your selctions to the stakes you will place.

Good Luck!
